I qualified from University College Dublin in 2008, and early in my career moved to Melbourne where I was fortunate to train with a vet offering referral ultrasonography. This sparked my love of imaging, and for over a decade, I’ve been the relied-upon scanner in every practice I’ve worked in, often offering a peripatetic service to the group at large.
I achieved further qualifications in both diagnostic imaging and surgery, for which I was awarded the Paul Gotis-Graham Award for Excellence, and am a member of the ANZCVS Surgery Chapter, the European Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, and the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society.
I believe ultrasonography offers us a unique glimpse into the inner working of our patients without their ever knowing, and I love searching for the answers it affords to us.
